mengo senior school, mengo senior school bog, mengo senior school board of governors

Greetings in the name of our Lord, Praise the Lord Jesus Christ who has seen us this far in this year.
On behalf of the Board of Governors of Mengo Senior School, I welcome you to this website through which you get to know more about the school. Despite the waves, the year has been fruitful for the Mengo Senior School family, with many blessings, prosperity, achievements and celebrations. I thank the Headteacher, Mr. John Fred Kazibwe, the teaching staff, non-teaching staff, support staff and the student’s body for turning Mengo into the Giant we are today.

The Namirembe Diocesan theme this year is from Isaiah 48:17 “Thus says the Lord, your redeemer, the Holy one of Israel: I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.” Indeed the youth today are challenged by an evil world, filled with; Drug abuse, sports betting, alcoholism, gambling, homosexuality, prostitution, theft, corruption, abortion, rioting, and pornography. It is important that we show them the way in which they should go so that they profit. Mengo Senior School is using all avenues to teach and nurture students so that they grow into human beings who will profit.

Our mission statement in Mengo S.S is “to provide quality education through practical skills, team work, self reliance and produce God fearing persons”. The only way we can have our mission realized is by playing our role in the different capacities. Through this lockdown, inculcate discipline and morals into the children, provide a conducive environment for them to grow, create quality time to talk to them and with them. Today many parents are suffering from T.B (too busy), teach the children to love their culture, to fear God
and respect people and property.

To the students, “Work smart and always struggle for the best, respect your parents and teachers, grab all the opportunities that come your way when you are still young because opportunity knocks once and always remember that your future lies in your hands.”

Amidst challenges, I am glad to inform you that we have been able to achieve in different spheres.
The school has been given a face lift and the school ambiance has been beautified.

We have attained excellence in Academics.

I am glad to say that the struggle continues in the spirit of Akwana Akira Ayomba.

Rev. Can Nelson Kaweesa
Chairman Board of Governors.
